STARRY SNOWSCAPE
STR-01-002

In the crisp, cold air of winter, the stars seem to glisten more brilliantly than at any other season of the year.  Cold air holds less moisture than warm air and, with drier air, the sky often appears more transparent.  The brightest star of the night—Sirius—shines over this moonlit scene in the Laguna Mountains east of San Diego, California.
