If you can't join in on one of Dennis's popular Night Sky Photography workshops, why not invest in a private session with noted TWAN night sky shooter.  All you need is a camera whose settings you can adjust manually (automatic settings just don't work),  a reasonably wide-angle and fast lens (f/2.8 or faster is best), a tripod and a willingness to aim your camera skyward to capture images that are out of this world!

The session is customized to your level and interests, but you'll learn such important tips as proper focus at night, exposure and camera setting determination, light painting, celestial movement, composition tricks and much more And you'll come away with some photos you'll be happy to call your own.

To participate, you must know your camera well enough to make manual changes to such settings as exposure, aperture, ISO, white-balance and more, and bring along your gear's user manual(s). These sessions are for camera/tripod shooting only; no telescopes will be used.

Refunds or rescheduling can be honored ONLY if the request is received by 5 p.m. Pacific Time two days before your scheduled session. (For example, a Thursday tutorial cancellation must be received by 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday; cancellation for a Friday session must be received by 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, and so on).  Because the schedule is always in high demand, cancellations or rescheduling requests received after that date and time cannot be refunded.  Sorry. 

Weather cancellations are at the sole discretion of your instructor;  in the rare case that Dennis determines that weather will force a cancellation of the session, he will send a text message that afternoon to the cell phone number you provide (as well as a detailed e-mail), and you may then reschedule or receive a full refund.
