FIRMAMENT OF GOLD

As the sun sets each evening, its light must cross a thick, dusty column of air that alters its color  significantly.  By the time the sunlight has finally reached our eyes, it's been robbed of its short-wavelength colors;  all that now remain are its gold, red and orange, and these paint the sky with that wonderfully warm glow we know as sunset.
